Gunpowder and Rose is being added to the Leaf Logic Collection of Meet the Blends Monday! This is one of the earlier blends in the collection created in November of 2010. Gunpowder and Rose takes the spotlight for Meet the Blends Monday. It was created out of a passion to create a robust green tea blend of premium organic tea leaves. The Gunpowder green tea was a perfect fit. Gunpowder Green tea historically got its name from some travelers that walked into a tea farm and said in shock “Why do you have so many barrels of gunpowder?” The way that the tea leaves were rolled before they were dried gave the appearance of barrels of gunpowder. And the name took off! I love this green tea for its robust flavor and ability to brew a dark green cup of tea full of flavor and freshness! These leaves are rolled very tight and expand quite a bit in your cup! Enjoy!

How do I brew it?: Steep 1 rounded teaspoon of tea per 8 oz of water (160-180 degrees) for 1-2 minutes.Take time to take a few deep breathes and relax. After the tea has reached the desired strength, strain out the loose leaf and savor the superior flavor found in a cup of the Cozy Leaf Collection.
