Say rise and shine with todays Meet the Blends Monday! Cottage Breakfast! This was one of my favorite blends to create because I love a good black tea in the morning! I am very sensitive to caffeine so I would have to be careful to not work on this blend into the afternoon or else I would be up all night! I sourced quite a few different black teas to try and find the perfect combination and I finalized this blend with a combination of 4 different black teas from various regions around the world. My desire was to have a smooth and full flavored black tea but also bring in rich, robust, and malty notes. These 4 different black teas work together perfectly to bring Cottage Breakfast into the Collection July 2014 as our signature breakfast blend. Try this blend with a bit of cream to see some new flavor notes step out! And remember with black tea you don’t want to steep it more than 3 minutes and this will help you avoid any bitterness!
How do I brew it?: Steep 1 rounded teaspoon of tea per 8 oz of water (212 degrees) for 2-3 minutes.Take time to take a few deep breathes and relax. After the tea has reached the desired strength, strain out the loose leaf and savor the superior flavor found in a cup of the Leaf Logic Collection.
