It's the most wonderful time of year for CHAI!!! And guess what, you can do it yourself!
Here's a surprisingly easy way to make your own Chai Tea Latte at home.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1 - Your favorite mug and loose leaf infuser
2 - Your Favorite Leaf Logic Chai - Kansas Sunset Chai, Country Chai Spice, or Tiger Fire Chai - or grab the Chai Trio Variety Pack so you have them all!
3 - Water - boiling water is best for making chai
4 - Milk (optional) - Any type of milk! This method even works great with almond milk, coconut milk, hemp milk, really any milk! (Check out our post on frothing milk at home)
5 - Sweetness (optional) - You can use honey, maple syrup, date syrup, or sugar. My favorite is a high-quality rich maple syrup! (Check out our post on sweetners)
STEPS FOR MAKING A CHAI LATTE:
1 - Place your infuser in your mug and add your loose leaf tea (1 tsp of loose leaf tea per 8 oz of Water). So if you are doing a 16oz mug, then you will need 2 teaspoons of chai and if you are making a 32 oz teapot to make several lattes for a party, then you will need 4 teaspoon… or a bit more to add a fun spark to the party! 2 -Pour boiling water into the cup and let steep for 3-5 minutes (the longer you leave in, the more robust your tea will taste)
3 - Remove infuser after steeping to strain out the chai from the water.
4 - Stir in some sweetness - (optional) honey, maple syrup, or any touch of sweetness if you desire. This step is not necessary, but you can always try it several ways! We use sweet cinnamon in all our chai blends here at Leaf Logic, so most of the time our customers tell us that they don’t need sweeteners in the chai since they are already sweet enough naturally!
5 - Top with some homemade frothed milk, whip topping, a dash of cinnamon, or any fun garnish you desire! (Check out our post on How to Make Frothed Milk)
